Description

Overview of Dual Contact Temperature Switch

The Dual Contact Temperature Switch is a mechanical sensing instrument designed for the simultaneous monitoring and dual-stage control of temperatures in flowing neutral gases and liquids. Utilizing a capillary and bulb-style sensor, the device operates on the principle of liquid expansion. As the temperature at the bulb increases, the internal fluid expands through the capillary to actuate two independent micro-switches. This "dual contact" design allows for complex control logic, such as an early warning alarm followed by a system shutdown, or the sequential control of multiple heating elements.

  • Wide Adjustable Range: Offers a broad temperature control spectrum from -30°C to 280°C, suitable for both refrigeration and high-heat industrial processes.

  • High Synchronization Precision: Features a synchronization error of ≤0.5%, ensuring high consistency between the lower switching values of the two contacts.

  • Remote Sensing Capability: Equipped with a 1.5-meter capillary, allowing the controller to be mounted on a central panel while the sensing bulb is placed directly within the process medium.

  • Robust Media Compatibility: Designed for neutral gases and liquids. For corrosive environments, a stainless steel thermowell can be added to protect the standard copper bulb.

  • Vibration Resistance: Built to withstand mechanical stress with vibration resistance up to 20 m/s², ensuring stable setpoints in proximity to industrial machinery.

  • Flexible Installation: Can be mounted in any orientation without affecting measurement accuracy, providing versatility for various pipeline and tank layouts.

  • High Load Switching: Integrated micro-switches support AC 220V 6A (resistive), capable of directly managing heavy-duty industrial relays and contactors.
