Overview

The ZNC-IRS Infrared Temperature Sensor provides continuous, non-contact surface temperature measurement for industrial equipment and automated production lines.

It is available with 4-20mA, 0-5V or RS485 output for connection to PLCs, displays and control systems. The compact 304 stainless-steel housing, M18 threaded installation and IP65 protection allow easy integration into industrial machinery.

The sensor is suitable for non-metallic materials, painted surfaces and coated metal surfaces, with available measuring ranges up to 800°C.

Selection Notes

• Temperature Range: Select a range that covers both the normal and maximum operating temperature.

• Target Material: The fixed emissivity is 0.95, making the sensor suitable for most non-metallic materials, painted surfaces and coated metals.

• Reflective Metals: Bare or polished metal surfaces may require technical evaluation because low emissivity can affect measurement accuracy.

• Measuring Distance: The sensor has a 20:1 distance-to-spot ratio. The target should be larger than the measurement spot.

• Installation Environment: Dust, smoke or steam may affect the infrared signal. An air-purge accessory is recommended for contaminated environments.
