Bourdon Tube Pressure Gauge
The Bourdon Tube Pressure Gauge is the most common and widely used type of mechanical pressure measuring instrument.
Read MoreOverview of Liquid Filled Pressure Gauge
The Liquid Filled Pressure Gauge is designed to provide clear, steady readings where standard dry gauges would fail due to pointer jitter.
What is it? It is a Bourdon tube pressure gauge where the entire internal cavity of the case is filled with a high-viscosity liquid. The liquid acts as a damper for the internal mechanism and the pointer, absorbing energy from mechanical vibrations and pressure spikes.
Main Application Field Crucial for locations with extreme vibration and load fluctuations, such as near heavy pumps, compressors, and hydraulic systems. It is widely used in petroleum, offshore rigs, power plants, and mining.
Key Characteristics: The filling fluid (Glycerin or Silicone oil) not only stabilizes the reading but also lubricates the gear movement and prevents condensation inside the window. It supports medium temperatures up to +150°C and is fully sealed to IP65 standards.
Features of Liquid Filled Pressure Gauge
Superior Vibration Damping: The liquid filling effectively eliminates pointer oscillation caused by external vibration or internal pressure surges, ensuring easy readability.
Internal Lubrication: The filling fluid provides continuous lubrication for the movement, significantly extending the service life of the gauge in high-cycle applications.
Corrosion & Moisture Resistance: Built with a 304 stainless steel case and 316L internals, it thrives in corrosive salt-air or chemical environments. The liquid fill also prevents internal corrosion and fogging.
Wide Range & Sizes: Available in dial sizes from 40mm to 250mm and pressure ranges up to 100MPa.
Flexible Filling Options: Standard filling is Glycerin (suitable for most applications) or Silicone Oil (best for extreme temperature ranges or low-temperature environments).
Rugged Sealing: Rated IP65, featuring a blow-out plug for safety and a high-quality instrument glass window.
Applications of Liquid Filled Pressure Gauge
Hydraulic Systems: Monitoring high-pressure lines where rapid valve switching causes intense pressure spikes.
Pumps and Compressors: Direct mounting on equipment that generates continuous mechanical vibration.
Offshore and Marine: Resistance to saltwater corrosion and the constant motion of ships and oil platforms.
Power and Mining: Durable performance in the dusty and high-vibration conditions of heavy-duty machinery.
Chemical Processing: Monitoring process lines where corrosive reagents are present.
